Previous
Employment

My main responsibility is the installation, development, upgrading, maintainance, and improvements to our software product, Enterport. Enterport is a lightweight application framework written in PHP which satisfies the requirements of many Internet/intranet applications, such as user/group/category permissions management, authentication, simple content management and syndication, database abstraction, templating engines for layout, and a well-defined API for rapid n-tier web application development.

Enterport runs in both Windows and Linux environments, with either Microsoft IIS or Apache webservers, and utilizing either Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL for database storage.

A variety of web and system projects have been completed, including providing an XML data feed to Google Local and Froogle, sophisticated PDF generation, and integration with external databases, such as phone systems.

Additional responsibilities include management of DNS, DHCP, CVS, Samba, and Exim software installations on both Windows 2000 and Linux environments.

Main responsibilities include building php-based web applications with MySQL backend and writing user membership management and subscription service applications utilizing creditcard verification services.

Secondary responsibilities include maintaining and updating half million subscriber email list which was sent weekly.

Other duties include writing data translation and import scripts in PHP and Python; installing and configuring various internet streaming video and audio services; installing, configuring, and working with MySQL databases; and installing and configuring the Apache webserver.

Additional experience was gained with code management software CVS, as well as remote administration of websites with telnet, FTP, SCP, and SSH.
